Are my parents too protective?

ohk, im 13 years old, turning 14 in december. my friend lives on the street over, on the corner house. im not allowed to ride my bike over there. really? and ii cant have a facebook. i get good grades, but noooooo i can never be good enough. i cant meet up with my friends at places, and my dad doesnt like driving me anywhere., except to skateland. which is only fridays. i cant ride my bike unless i tell them first, heck, i cant go in my front yard without telling them. i dont have a cell phone and they tell me that they just love me and want me 2 b safe but thats hard to do wen i cant contact them wen im out . what do you think?
