Does he like me or noooooo ?

i'v been talking to this guy in class and we started getting closer & i asked him as soon as he got his license would he take me out and he said yeah he wants to. & so the next day i went on a trip and these guys were hitting on me so the next day my friend at class out loud told the girl next to her and he heard and he started to be silent, he would have short convos with me when i would try to talk to him. not sure if he likes me or hes just friendly... does he?
