Ex is texting me out of the blue?

I dated this guy for a year. We broke up more than 6 months ago. i deleted him on facebook because he was dating a new girl 2 days after we broke up and was posting facebook statuses like "Best girlfriend ever". annoying. plus i wasnt over him (sometimes im still not, okay im still not) and i was going on his page alll the time. it made it harder to get over him. we were both prenursing school students. i took an entrance exam called the teas, applied and got into nursing school. he has not taken the teas yet (by what i assume form the text im about to talk about) he sent me a text ( i havent heard from him in 6 months) asking me what i got on the teas. like scores. okay so a guy that said he would die for, heard my greatest fears, said he would marry me, just texted me and i have noooooo i idea what to make of it. is he just feeling around trying to see if i text back. why the **** does he have to ask me MY scores? is this him reaching out in an indirect way or is this just bussiness. i want to ask him why he decided to text me out of the blue? what would you say? i have no idea what to make of this situation.
