Download Manager Iphone/Ipod Touch App Gone?

I absolutely love this app for the iphone/ipod touch. I used 40 gig up on my ipod single handedly from files on this app. Why is it taken off the app store. I've used it for a year and a half and when I tell people to get it, they do. I check today and it's gone from the Appstore! Why? It's still on my ipod but this means no new updates! Noooooo. Why could this be?
