I want my cam to record stuff in other format than .MOV !!! grrr?

You can not change the format that the camera records in and it actually varies model to model, not brand to brand. I have one Canon that shoots AVIs and another that does MOVs. It is just another one of those "features" that needs to be researched before you buy.
